Watch Live: The 2026 OT 500 (km) Racing Club Special Event

The stage is set for the OT 500 (km) Special Event on May 29 - tune in on our Twitch channel at 18:20 UTC to watch all the action live!

The fastest Special Event of the year in the OverTake Racing Club is here: The OT 500 (km) is looking for its winner on May 29 - 125 laps, 1,000 corners, one yard of bricks, and one winner who gets to drink the virtual milk in the end.

First, the grid needs to be finalized, though, and that adds a whole other layer of excitement right ahead of the race. Only 33 cars will take the start of the race, but with 37 sign-ups, we'll see some Bump Day-style action right ahead of the 35-minute warmup before the race.

The broadcast team will need your input, as they are looking to hand out three awards - so have your say in who should be Driver of the Day, who made the Overtake of the Race, and who should take home the Best Livery Award!

Simončič On Pole, Final Grid Spots On The Line

A separate qualifying session held on May 25 determined the top 26 already, with @Jernej Simončič emerging as the quickest driver in the Fast 6 shootout with a lap average of 225 mph/362.07 kph. @Fabian Balle and @William Snowden round out the front row for what is certain to be an exciting run towards turn 1.

On the tail end of the grid, nothing is certain yet. The following 11 drivers will have to compete for final seven spots and earn their place on the grid:

The following cars have been withdrawn:

  • #2
  • #28
  • #31

  • #98

Additionally, cars #33, #51, #56 and #84 are still available for any last-minute sign-ups.

OT500 (km) Spotter's Guide

With plenty of cars set to roar around the Brickyard, there will be a colorful grid with plenty of custom liveries included. To get an overview of all the designs and to help identify drivers during the race, check out the Spotter's Guide created by race organizer @Jimlaad43 below!

Note that not all last-minute changes are reflected in the Spotter's Guide, as drivers unfortunately had to drop out on very short notice.

Despite this, a packed grid should await - maybe the race can even produce a finish as exciting as the real-life final lap of the 2026 Indy 500 did!
