The Crew 2 Hybrid Mode Receives Highly Requested Update

A fresh update to The Crew 2's offline service was rolled out today, featuring numerous community-requested changes, additions, and tweaks.

Back in October 2025, following public outrage over the original The Crew title being delisted for good, Ubisoft Ivory Tower rolled out what they called 'Hybrid Mode' for The Crew 2, giving players the option to play online or offline.

This is the first major update to the service since its inception in October 2025, and player feedback is said to be at the heart of it. Up until now, adding and saving your liveries was impossible in your offline session. With this update, players will be able to create and add their favourite customisation to their offline save.

Offline "My livery" menu is now available

In this new version, you can create new liveries, and you will be able to find the liveries that you have created offline as well as those you saved from when you launched teh game in the online mode. You can now also create and save sticker groups for your liverys from the online mode.

Do you want to use liveries already made by other players? There is now an option to save your online saved liveries to your offline save, letting you switch between liveries to your heart's content.

Offline Statistics

One of the most requested changes was the addition of trackable statistics in The Crew 2's offline mode. Whilst already present in the online version of teh game, they were sorely missed offline. From today, players will be able to import their online statistics into their offline saved game.

  • Pilot statistics can be added to your offline profile
  • Vehicle statistics can be added to your offline profile
  • Offline statistics now progress on your offline save

There are a few other small UI fixes, and switching between online and offline modes is much less clunky. For a game that is less than a month away from being eight years old, it is great to see Ivory Tower continuing to think about its playerbase. If only the first The Crew could have been saved in the same way without heavy community involvement.
