The new 2026 Formula One season mod for F1 Manager 24 has had its cover pulled off and is now officially available on OverTake! Custom car models, animations and graphics just scrape the surface of what this incredible project has in store!

With official support for F1 Manager 24 well and truly ceased, the modding community continues to keep the game alive and kicking in 2026, three F1 seasons after the game's debut! The newly announced Sector 33 2026 Season Mod might just be the most ambitious evolution in the game's history.

Revealed last week following a rebrand by the team behind earlier database projects, Sector 33's new release aims to transform the game into a fully-fledged representation of the 2026 Formula 1 season, going far beyond simple roster updates.

The 2026 Overhaul

While smaller database edits for a 2026 season have circulated for some time, this project is being positioned as a complete mod package rather than an incremental update.

This is shaping up to be the kind of overhaul that turns F1 Manager 24 into something resembling an entirely new entry in the franchise, a 'what if' for fans of the management sim. Brand-new Teamwear and Pitcrew Helmets are available, as well as plenty of 'Create A Team' liveries. There are also 30-plus new drivers and staff. New trophies and podiums will be introduced a little further down the line!

New Car Models

One of the most exciting confirmed features is the inclusion of new car models, bringing the game visually closer to the 2026 regulations. These new 2026 cars are entirely different to the much bigger 2024 cars, so, whilst a monumental effort, they are a huge point of excitement for the community.

The team has been working tirelessly on these new 2026-spec car models for this great mod; they are all up to spec and include the appropriate aero elements, with further specifics expected in the not too distant future.

This aligns with a broader trend in the modding scene, where creators are increasingly pushing F1 Manager 24 beyond its original technical limits, much like visual-overhaul mods that enhance lighting, reflections, and overall fidelity.

A New Identity: Sector 33

The rebrand to Sector 33 signals a more organised, long-term approach by the development team. Rather than releasing isolated updates, the group is positioning itself as a dedicated modding collective, with this 2026 mod acting as a flagship project and potentially the foundation for future work.

That ambition is reflected in the scale of the team involved, with multiple contributors handling different aspects of the mod, from databases to visual assets.

F1 Manager 24 continues to evolve thanks to its community. Many other games have been kept alive well beyond their developmental cycle, the original Assetto Corsa, for example, but the community behind F1 Manager 24 is a seriously loyal one, and this mod has got everyone up out of their seats!
