Project Motor Racing GT Icons DLC Contents
Three new classes will debut in the GT Icons DLC, namely GT 60, GT 70, and Sports Car 67 - which already indicate what to expect in them. A mix of iconic endurance cars awaits, including a few that are relatively rare finds in sim racing.
GT 60
- 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
- 1965 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight
- 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe
GT 70
- 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3
- 1973 Ford Capri RS3100
- 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0
Sports Car 67
- 1967 Chapparal 2F
- 1967 Ford GT40 Mk IV
- 1967 Lola T70 Mk 3
While all three classes are not that deep when it comes to different cars, they are at least evenly spread when it comes to their car counts, and even though it might not be completely realistic, the Sports Car 70 class is from a similar era, meaning that a combination of the different classes could result in a more diverse grid.
With the Lola T70 Mk 3, an older variant of the Sports Car 70 class' Mk 3 B debuts as well. Like the accompanying Chapparal 2F and Ford GT40 Mk IV, the car contested the 1967 World Sportscar Championship, but unlike the other two, it also appeared in CanAm that year.
The new cars also get an appropriate playground, as the Rocky Knoll Raceway will debut. If that name doesn't ring a bell, it's most likely because it's another ficitonal name for a real track - in this case, all images for the new DLC hint at it being Road America. The track famously hasn't changed its main layout throughout its entire existence, with only a motorcycle chicane having been added in 2003. Since the circuit will come with two layouts available, we'd expect the chicane variant to be included.
