Welcome to Round 1 of the UK Touring Car Series! This new series is set to follow the real BTCC calendar, using the official BTCC cars made by Studio 397. Round 1 will see the Championship kick off at Donington Park National for three action-packed races, just as the real season did last weekend!
The first three races at Donington Park will take place on Thursday, April 23rd, with the following rounds following the real calendar. There will be points for each race, so make sure to keep each race date clear if you want to try and bring home the Championship!
The Cars
To avoid any confusion, you can choose from either the 2022 or 2023 BTCC car roster, and there is an unlimited tyre allocation, so go wild with your practice and qualifying runs. There is no Hybrid at play here, hence the choice of 2022 and 2023 cars, so old-school touring car racing is encouraged and expected in these tin tops.
Racing in a series that uses only official DLC cars in rFactor 2 back in the day would have been a real nightmare, with everyone having to own all of the content to join the online server. Thankfully, that rule is a thing of the past. If you do not own any cars yet, simply choose your favourite, and that will be enough to qualify you for the Championship.

The circuit itself is also required from the Steam store. You can find the Donington Park download here if you do not already have it.
All of these NGTC BTCC touring cars are front-wheel drive, excluding the BMW 330i/e M Sport and the Infiniti Q50. If rear-wheel drive is your thing, you have a choice of liveries from both cars, but a wide variety of front-wheel drive machinery will make this grid varied and rather colourful.

Unless you want the complete collection, it is now possible to race with just the car you want to drive owned. You no longer need to open every car on the server. That means if you are a Honda fan and only ever want to drive the Honda, you do not need to purchase the other cars too to join the server.

- The series consits of 10 Rounds/race meetings, all driven the Thursday before the IRL BTCC race at the same track.
- 20 minute free practice before Qualifying.
- Superpole qualification for Race 1, 4 minute session with 1 out lap, 1 timed lap, and 1 in lap (press ESC at some point before halfway around the circuit to avoid penalty)
The starting order for Race 2 will be the result list from Race 1.
The starting order for Race 3 will be the result list from Race 2, in reversed order. - Each meeting will have 3 races, approximately 15 minutes duration each.
- The points system to be used in the races is 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the top 15 finishers.
