Whilst the three new cars in Update 1.69 for Gran Turismo 7 are as ever the headline additions, there is more than just those as there are a few additional elements with the April 2026 update.
The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 is now live with the addition of the 1993 Renault Twingo (14,000 CR) and Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau 964 (1,200,000 CR) along with the Yangwang U9 (350,000 CR) which whilst not the absurdly powerful Xtreme, is still pretty quick with nearly 1,300 horsepower. But as always, there are a few other features added in the update.
There are three new races that the new cars can be raced in, a new Extra Menu and Scapes mode. Plus, a new feature within the Power Pack DLC that arrived alongside the Spec III mode in December is exclusively for the PS5 version of the game.
Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.69: New Features
First up are the events added to the World Circuits. At the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is the Schwarzwald League, which German cars exclusively compete in, the perfect race to try out the new 911. Hypercar Parade at Yas Marina could provide the place to give the Yangwang a go and finally, World Touring Car 900 at Interlagos.
Next up is a brand new Extra Menu available at Collector Level 55 that can unlock a 5-Star Roulette Ticket, and it consists of three iconic old American muscle cars in the form of the Dodge Charger R/T 426 Hemi, Pontiac GTO 'The Judge' and Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Coupé. All of these cars are now available in Legends Cars if you wanted to complete the menu, plus you can also get a 5-Star Roulette Ticket from picking up all three new cars with the new Seasonal Menu.
There is of course a new Scapes mode for you avid car photographers quite aptly named 'Move the Camera Up and Down III' so you can perhaps guess what that entails. Now we come to the Power Pack additions, and that is the new Power Pack Challenges which are limited time bonuses much like the Weekly Challenges in World Circuits where you can earn additional prizes.

It would appear that unlike the Weekly Challenge races, you do not need to place top three in a preselected event in order to get the prize and instead it will be just as simple as completing races. When you consider that the Power Pack events consist of practice and qualifying as well as having much higher level of AI difficulty, Polyphony have been rather generous for the conditions to earn the prizes being so simple.
Final few additions consist of another Circuit Experience mode where you complete individual sectors and a flying lap of a track to earn credits. What circuit could it be that has gotten a new Circuit Experience mode? Well, it is the Nürburgring VLN track but.. in reverse. In the Spec III update, it became possible to lap the 15.1 miles / 24.4 kilometres combined Sprint and Nordschleife track in reverse only in time trial - though during one week, it was featured in Daily Races. Players can earn 6,000,000 for getting all Gold times.
Last but not least, new engine swaps which are unlocked at Collector Level 50. The Twingo can have the engine from the Garage RCR Honda Civic, whilst the Porsche also added in this update can be fitted with its modern counterpart's engine. Likewise, the classic Alfa Romeo Giulia can get the V8 from the modern Giulia, plus the Renault Mégane RS Trophy and Volkswagen Scirocco R can now have the engine from the Suzuki VGT Gr.3 car, the Ford Focus ST can have the Gr.B version's engine.
Want the screaming V12 in the back of your 650S? It will cost you 10,000,000 credits, basically free. Image: Polyphony Digital
What may be most alarming, the McLaren P1 GTR and 650S along with the Lexus LFA can now be fitted with the engine out of the BMW McLaren F1 GTR, but are you sitting down? It will cost you over 10,000,000 credits to do that! Up to you if that is worth it, but players will surely be content with a downgrade in power and an increase in weight just to hear that V12 scream. Cannot put a price on that, surely.
