F1 25: 2026 Season Pack Now Available, How to Utilise New Features

It is June 3rd, which means those who have F1 25 will now be able to access the 2026 Season Pack with the new content. Plus, we have tips on how best to use the new deployment and active aero modes. Let's dive in.

With the next F1 game by EA Sports and Codemasters set to release next year and supposedly updated annually with new content, that left the 2026 season to be added to last year's F1 25. With the drastic changes to the cars, as well as the additions of Audi and Cadillac, there will at least be some variety with both 2025 and 2026 content.

With the 2026 Season Pack available to pick up now across all platforms, here is a rundown of how you can make the most of all the new features, such as the active aero and deployment modes, along with how to enable career modes with the current season cars.

F1 25 - 2026 Season Pack: New Features

First off, for those wanting to run a Driver Career or My Team Career, you will need to start a new save file in each respective mode after installing the DLC, and the car select screen will show a new category for the 2026 season alongside the pre-existing categories from the base game. Choosing a 2026 season career mode will add a new save file, it will not be possible to carry your save data from a 2025 season file.

The new Madring circuit will only be accessible via the 2026 content, therefore no driving the 2025 cars around the track even in Grand Prix, Time Trial, Split Screen, Pro Challenges, Unranked Multiplayer or LAN.

Now we come to how both the new Overtake Mode and Active Aerodynamics are operated. The former works much the same as how the drag-reduction system did, with having to be within a second of the driver in front at a designated detection line to enable it, making it available to use whenever you like for the next lap.

On a gamepad, the deploy button is typically L1/LB, or, of course, a new button can be mapped to the controller or wheel. When outside the range to utilise the Overtake Mode, the ERS mode can be manually toggled the same as before, or there is the option to enable an automated deployment mode should you prefer.

Next up is the Active Aerodynamics, which is only available in specific designated zones on the track, much like DRS on the previous cars. By default, Cornering Mode is enabled, but after pressing the Triangle/Y button (by default) to put it in Straight Line Mode, the wings will move to make it less draggy, and it goes back to Cornering Mode when turning, braking, lifting off the throttle or exiting the Straight Line Zone.

Unlike with DRS and Overtake Mode, it is not enabled when within a second of the car in front at a detection point. But if you do not want to have to keep on top of it, like with the Overtake Mode it can be handled by the game.

If you have F1 25 already, you only need to buy the 2026 Season Pack whilst for those who do not have the game already, it can be acquired with the pack via the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition.
