With the DTM season getting underway at Red Bull Ring this weekend, the accompanying series on iRacing also begins today and you can now apply all of the liveries being raced this season.
Whilst traditionally a RaceRoom exclusive in recent years, DTM surprised the sim racing world by also announcing a partnership with iRacing where every Thursday before a race weekend, there would be a chance to race in a new Class B level series with limited timeslots. It would follow the DTM schedule almost exactly, with absent tracks from the sim Lausitzring and Norisring being replaced by recent DTM venues Spa-Francorchamps and Brands Hatch.
If any iRacers wanted to get really immersed in the action, they would logically want to equip a livery replicating one of the cars being raced this season. Well, now you can, courtesy of the official DTM TradingPaints channel, with liveries available for the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, BMW M4 GT3 Evo, Ferrari 296 GT3, Ford Mustang GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo and McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. Plus, the liveries of the teams running the Porsche 992.2 GT3 R and Lamborghini Temerario GT3 cars for the original Porsche 992 and Huracán GT3 EVO.
Providing you have downloaded the TradingPaints software and linked everything up, you will be able to run custom liveries in time for the remaining timeslots tonight at 6pm UTC, 12am UTC and 3am UTC. If you have not already installed the app or even made an account, watch a tutorial here.
DTM 2026: Content on Horizon?
Just like with RaceRoom, the DTM liveries on iRacing are of course not all assigned to the correct cars as the likes of the Temerario, 992.2 and the Evo models of the 296 and Mustang are all not available in the game yet. Compared to RaceRoom though, they at least have the Aston Martin as well as the recently removed from RaceRoom Ferrari.
The RaceRoom DTM Esports 2026 pack might be lacking at the moment in terms of cars, but their plan is to release the full 2026 season content before the finale of the upcoming DTM Esports season. That will be set to most likely include the Porsche 992.2 GT3 R, Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo and of course, the Lamborghini Temerario GT3. The pack does contain the Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, even though no team is racing the R8 this season.
Those wanting to race the Temerario will have to make do with the Huracán for now on both platforms. Image: iRacing.com
As for iRacing, any potential plan to add the Evo versions of the Ferrari and Ford will most likely be free additional updates to the existing models, just like they did with the BMW M4 GT3 Evo. Also, potentially with the 992.2 as the Cup version of the 992.2 replaced the 992.1 Cup at no extra charge to pre-existing owners. As for the Temerario, that would most certainly be the exception where you need to buy the car new, though there is no official word on any of this happening.
EDIT 24/04/2026: The liveries are apparently from 2025 season which could point to the 2026 liveries being released later on down the line should the updated car models be added.
