A small update for Automobilista 2 with a number of fixes has been released, marking the end of the free trial period for new DLC.
The v1.6.9.8 update for Automobilista 2 launched on June 13, including new paid DLC for historical variants of existing tracks, plus a new addition in the Hungaroring. As is usually the case, developer Reiza Studios made this new batch of content free for anyone to try in the first few days after their release.
That free trial period has now ended, so players who may be wondering why the likes of the Hungaroring or the 2005 versions of Monza and Imola don't show up on their track selection screens anymore need to purchase the respective DLC. The Hungaroring DLC costs $6.99, and the Historic Track Pack Pt. 4 DLC is $7.99. The 2005 version of Monza is included in the Monza DLC, which is only available as part of the Premium Track Pack since the DLC restructure in early 2026 if you don't own it yet.
Update v1.6.8.9.1 With Small Fixes
The free trial period for the new DLC ending coincides with the release of update 1.6.9.81, a patch that mostly hammers out smaller issues. Perhaps the most obvious change is the reduction of livery slots for each of the F-V10 Gen 2 cars from 11 to 10, probably in anticipation of the McLaren MP4/16 being added to bring up the car count to 22 again. There are licensing issues to figure out first, though, but Reiza Founder and Lead Developer Renato Simioni has stated that "our priority is to continue with McLaren".
