Assetto Corsa EVO's growing car roster is set to receive one of the most recognisable GT3 cars of the modern era: the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. This German stalwart is now confirmed for the game's upcoming v0.7 update.
The announcement brings the final evolution of Audi's long-running GT3 platform to Kunos Simulazioni's latest road-focused title, giving players the chance to get behind the wheel of a car that has become a familiar sight in endurance and GT racing paddocks worldwide.
The R8 LMS GT3 Evo II represents the ultimate version of Audi's racing program, despite major scalebacks to afford running their Formula One team. Powered by a naturally aspirated V10 mounted behind the driver, the Evo II received a series of aerodynamic and mechanical refinements designed to improve stability and predictability. This car and class in general are aimed at Gentleman Drivers first and foremost.
The Audi's arrival should be welcome news for Assetto Corsa EVO players, particularly those eager to expand the simulator's growing GT racing roster.
