Console sim racers on Assetto Corsa Competizione can now race the 2025 GT World Challenge liveries in the sim, as a new update adds the designs for free.
The spotlight is shining on Assetto Corsa EVO for developer Kunos Simulazioni, with news on the Assetto Corsa Competizione front having fallen silent for the most part. The last time PC players got an update to the sim was in December 2025, though that served to add new liveries instead of changes to the game itself.
Half a year later, the liveries have now arrived on consoles: The 2025 GTWC Liveries update is now out across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 systems and can be downloaded for free.
The update includes 86 new liveries from GTWC Europe, and nine new designs from GTWC America, plus updated driver rosters.
It's good to see some movement for ACC , even if it is a relatively miniscule update. The long time console players had to wait for these liveries has me scratching my head a bit, though.
The fact that console players have to wait longer for ACC updates than PC sim racers is nothing new. Additional content and features always landed for the PC version first, with consoles often being months behind. The difference had become smaller over time, though, with the addition of the long-requested Nürburgring-Nordschleife happening just one month after PC players got their hands on the Green Hell.
Now, we're back to six months, and eight after the 2025 seasons of GTWC Europe and America have finished. I'm not a dev, of course, so it might be much more complicated than I imagine - but shouldn't the console port use the same car models, making it fairly straight-forward to apply the liveries that already exist for the PC version? I'm not trying to point fingers, I'm just genuinely curious.
Anyway, the bottom line is that the addition of extra liveries - and almost 100 at that - is a net positive, especially for free. Fingers crossed that those who continue to enjoy ACC also get the 2026 liveries eventually!
